  1. These are the three compilers for Quake 2 levels
  2. done by Geoffrey DeWan ( gdewan@prairienet.org )

  4. This zip includes:
  5. - gddqbsp2_103.zip
  6. - gddqrad3_102.zip
  7. - gddqvsi3_100.zip
  8.  
  9. I have just zipped the original zipfiles themselves,
  10. leaving the contents intact. You will have to extract
  11. each one individually to use them.
  12.  
  13. How to use them:
  14. 1) Extract each one into a directory of your choice.
  15.  
  16. 2) Switch to "Quake2" in the QuArK Explorer. (4th menu
  17. item, last entry in the menu).
  18.  
  19. 3) Under "options | Configuration" in the QuArK Explorer, set
  20. the directory path to point to the program for each section by
  21. going to the "directories" tab, and clicking on the entry in 
  22. the right hand column (the actual filename).
  23. A button with "..." will appear on the right side of the window. "Browse"
  24. to the directory, and file that you want associated with the
  25. "QuArK looks for" entry. Reading the documentation for each program will
  26. tell you about command line options for each, and they are entered on the
  27. line directly below the filename entry.

  29. I claim no credits for these programs, and they are not part of the
  30. Official QuArK distribution. I have included them as a courtesy to 
  31. QuArK users, because A) they work better than id's original releases,
  32. and B) it is a MUCH smaller package to download if all you want to do is
  33. compile Quake2 levels.
